Personal story:
My name is Shirley van Wijlen. Since my fourth I do sports. I started at the age of four with ballet and gymnastics, at six I became a member of the Lelystad gymnastic squad. Furter more I rode horses, practised several martial arts and cycling. After my HAVO education I joined the armed forces(1993) as a sergeant at the medical troops. Together with four other ladies and five men I represented the Dutch armed forces(1997-2000) at military pentathlon competitions. I've decided to do everything in order to become a professional pilot/aviator, and that is why I took evening courses in the nessesary subjects. At the moment I live in Switzerland where I'm attending my pilot training and besides, I work in a hotel as a recptionist to improve my language skills. Sports is very important to me, I'm glad that I have excellent possibilities to train in Switzerland. Beside my own work out I also train with the Swiss pentathlon team. Further more I ski, skeeler, climb and love to do anything challenging and adventurous. Last year I finished fifth place in the Ultimate Fitness Challenge, I'll certainly be there this year and I'll do everything to improve last years result. In short, The Ultimate Fitness Challenge is a roaring challenge for me and of course for everyone that loves sports. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
